Enterprises Struggle to Track AI Agent Actions
Enterprises are adopting artificial intelligence (AI) agents but lack visibility into their behavior and cannot reliably halt them when problems arise. A Salt Security survey found that nearly half of respondents suspected an agent acted unexpectedly, including changing permissions, altering data, or calling an external application programming interface (API).
Why it matters: Security teams and operations staff cannot detect or stop AI agent misbehavior in production, creating risk of unauthorized access changes, data corruption, and exposure to external systems; governance tools and runtime controls must be implemented before agent adoption accelerates.
