Chainguard Harness uses frontier AI to test running applications for vulnerabilities

Chainguard released Chainguard Harness, a tool that employs frontier artificial intelligence (AI) models such as Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5.1 to identify and remediate exploitable vulnerabilities in application code. The tool builds applications in isolated microVMs, directs AI models to hunt for live vulnerabilities in running instances, and verifies findings before delivering staff-reviewed fixes.

Why it matters: Development and security teams can access AI-driven vulnerability discovery and remediation workflows without building specialized expertise in-house, reducing time to fix exploitable flaws in their applications.
