Internet exposure of AI tools, ICS devices continues to grow

A new report finds that despite ongoing vulnerability disclosures and hacking campaigns, critical infrastructure including artificial intelligence (AI) tools and industrial control systems (ICS) devices remain widely exposed to the internet. The persistence of this exposure suggests that remediation efforts have failed to substantially reduce the attack surface.

Why it matters: Infrastructure operators and security teams need to prioritize internet-facing inventory discovery and decommissioning of ICS devices and AI tools, as continued exposure represents an immediate attack vector regardless of known vulnerabilities.
