Advantech and DEKRA target industrial cybersecurity gaps as EU Cyber Resilience Act implementation advances
Advantech and DEKRA signed a Memorandum of Understanding to combine expertise in industrial cybersecurity testing and certification, helping customers meet EU Cyber Resilience Act requirements and international standards like IEC 62443 from the product design stage. The partnership offers technical assessments, vulnerability management, and certification support to reduce compliance risks and shorten time to market. Advantech's AFE-E630 industrial edge system has already received independent assessment and attestation of conformity from DEKRA for energy storage applications.
Why it matters: Industrial equipment manufacturers and system integrators entering EU and global markets need early compliance planning to avoid costly late-stage design changes and regulatory rejection under the Cyber Resilience Act.
