Zeabur shutting down after second security breach in two months

Development platform Zeabur disclosed a security incident in which attackers used leaked internal credentials stored in plaintext to compromise infrastructure and steal over 3.2 million environment variable records and account information for 321,810 users. The breach is the second security incident at the company within two months. Zeabur announced it is shutting down following the incident.

Why it matters: Developers and organizations using Zeabur for deployments face exposure of environment variables, credentials, and account data; immediate migration of applications and secrets rotation are critical. Incident response teams should review application programming interface (API) keys, database credentials, and other secrets potentially leaked from affected accounts.
