NCSC-2026-0453 Vulnerability in Google Brotli decoder

Google patched a vulnerability in the Brotli decompression library, which is used in Node.js and other software. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this flaw remotely by processing specially crafted Brotli-compressed data, potentially causing denial of service, exposing sensitive data from process memory, or executing arbitrary code with process privileges.

Why it matters: Developers and operators running Node.js or other applications using Brotli must apply this patch promptly, as the vulnerability can be exploited without authentication and allows remote code execution.
