Schneider Electric, NVIDIA, HPE introduce edge AI agents for industrial monitoring, cybersecurity and energy optimization

Schneider Electric, NVIDIA, and HPE announced a collaboration to deploy autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) agents directly at industrial edge sites for operational technology monitoring, cybersecurity, and energy optimization. The solution uses HPE Private Cloud AI with NVIDIA models and Schneider Electric's operational expertise to address data sovereignty, security, and cost barriers to industrial AI adoption. CMPC Chile has validated the approach over three years using Schneider Electric's operational technology monitoring system.

Why it matters: Process and heavy industry operators can now deploy AI agents locally to detect threats, optimize energy use, and accelerate incident response while keeping sensitive operational data on-premise and reducing inference costs, lowering the attack surface and improving compliance posture.
