CISA publishes strategy with eye on the next four years

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) released a four-year strategy titled 'CISA 2030: Defend, Harden, Prevail' focused on leading national cyber defense, protecting critical infrastructure, and building organizational resilience. The strategy outlines three pillars: integrating state, local, and industry cyber defense; prioritizing infrastructure security and international coordination; and mobilizing national resilience through modernized planning and interoperable systems. CISA will review its services and capabilities within 60 days and implement changes over 180 days, with a progress update after one year.

Why it matters: Critical infrastructure owners, operators, vendors, and technology manufacturers must align their defenses with CISA's priorities and roadmap; practitioners should monitor CISA's 60-day and 180-day capability reviews to understand new guidance, resources, and expectations for their sector.
