NCSC-2026-0456 Vulnerabilities fixed in Apple iOS and iPadOS

Apple released security updates for iOS and iPadOS addressing multiple vulnerabilities including insufficient symbolic link validation, improper permission checks, out-of-bounds errors, use-after-free flaws, integer overflows, race conditions, type confusion, and state management logic errors. Exploitation could enable unauthorized access to user data, memory corruption, application crashes, privilege escalation, sandbox escapes, and denial-of-service conditions through malicious files, network traffic, web content, or local device access.

Why it matters: iOS and iPadOS users must update immediately to patch critical flaws affecting image, video, audio, font, and PDF processing, as well as system components like Keychain and Bluetooth that could lead to data theft or device compromise.
