Fake crypto app on Apple App Store linked to $23K wallet theft

A fraudulent cryptocurrency trading application named Padre Terminal was distributed through the Apple App Store and resulted in the theft of approximately $23,000 from 27 Solana wallets. The fake app has since been removed from the platform.

Why it matters: iOS users and cryptocurrency holders are affected by app store distribution of malicious applications; practitioners should review app security controls and educate users on wallet protection and app vetting.
