Critical Linux kernel flaw allows remote root attacks on MPTCP servers

Researchers at Anthropic created a working exploit for a critical Linux kernel vulnerability affecting Multipath TCP (MPTCP) servers. Unauthenticated attackers can use the flaw to achieve remote code execution (RCE) with root privileges on vulnerable systems.

Why it matters: Any organization running MPTCP listeners faces immediate remote root compromise risk; patch or disable MPTCP servers urgently and check logs for exploitation attempts.
