Axonius expands asset intelligence platform to IoT and OT devices, addressing cyber-physical security visibility gaps
Axonius announced general availability of Cyber-Physical Assets, a platform extension that provides visibility into Internet of Things (IoT) and operational technology (OT) devices alongside traditional IT assets within a unified asset fabric. The new capabilities include passive network discovery via tap, network connection mapping, device intelligence profiling, and post-quantum cryptography readiness assessment. The update addresses a long-standing visibility gap where organizations lack comprehensive inventory and exposure context for IoT and OT devices that operate outside standard IT management and scanning tools.
Why it matters: Security and IT teams managing industrial systems, building controls, medical devices, or other IoT/OT infrastructure can now detect and map these assets in one place, identify anomalous connections between cyber and cyber-physical systems, and assess cryptographic vulnerabilities without risking operational stability on fragile systems.
