Microsoft named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for AI Agent Management Platforms

Microsoft has been recognized as a Leader in the inaugural 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for artificial intelligence (AI) Agent Management Platforms, with over 50 million agents registered in its Agent 365 solution. The platform integrates agent management into existing Microsoft infrastructure including Entra, Defender, and Purview, while supporting agents from Microsoft, customer-built sources, and third-party providers like Google, Amazon, Anthropic, and Databricks. Microsoft is expanding discovery capabilities, automated governance features, and cost management tools to help organizations deploy artificial intelligence (AI) at enterprise scale.

Why it matters: Security teams using Agent 365 can now manage AI agents with the same identity and access controls applied to users and devices, reducing the risk of unauthorized agent activity in their environment.
