Nine health systems affected by AI company data breach

Xsolis, a healthcare artificial intelligence (AI) company providing utilization management and care coordination technology, disclosed a data breach affecting at least nine health systems and 1.4 million patients. An unauthorized person gained access to portions of the company's IT systems following a targeted phishing attack reported on June 5.

Why it matters: Healthcare providers using Xsolis for patient care workflows must validate whether their systems were compromised, assess patient notification obligations, and review access logs for unauthorized activity during the January 20 breach window.
