Xen Hypervisor Flaws Let One Malicious VM Read and Write Any Other VM's Memory

Two flaws in the Xen hypervisor enable a malicious guest virtual machine to read and write memory belonging to other VMs on the same host, including dom0, the management VM with full system permissions. All Xen versions from 4.6 onward are affected. Patches are available, and no workaround exists.

Why it matters: Organizations running Xen-based virtualization must patch immediately to prevent guest VMs from accessing sensitive data or compromising the hypervisor management layer and other tenants.
