Wordfence Intelligence Weekly WordPress Vulnerability Report (October 26, 2026 to November 1, 2026)
Wordfence identified 549 vulnerabilities in WordPress plugins and themes during October 26 to November 1, 2026, with 508 already patched and 41 remaining unpatched. The vulnerability database included 17 critical-severity issues, 132 high-severity issues, and 394 medium-severity issues, primarily involving improper input neutralization, missing authorization, and deserialization flaws. Wordfence deployed real-time firewall rules for select critical vulnerabilities affecting WordPress Core, The Grid, YOOtheme Pro, and other plugins to protect premium subscribers.
Why it matters: WordPress site administrators must apply available patches immediately for the 508 patched vulnerabilities to prevent exploitation, while those running unpatched plugins containing the 41 unpatched critical and high-severity issues face active attack risk until vendor updates are released. Free Wordfence users will receive protection through firewall rules after a 30-day delay compared to premium subscribers, making prompt patching critical for exposed installations.
