Cognyte Sells a Mobile Cell Surveillance Van
Cognyte, an Israeli surveillance company, has sold FalcoNet, a mobile cell-site simulator, to the state of Texas. The device mimics a cellular tower to force nearby phones to connect, enabling law enforcement to track any phones in the area regardless of whether they belong to investigation targets. The technology can be deployed in vehicles, backpacks, or helicopters, and operates on similar principles to the widely-known Stingray simulator.
