New TCG guidance gives buyers a way to test PQC-ready TPM claims

The Trusted Computing Group (TCG) released requirements defining what a Trusted Platform Module must achieve to be considered quantum-safe. The guidance allows buyers to request evidence from vendors against a standardized baseline for post-quantum cryptography (PQC) readiness. Trusted Platform Modules store machine keys and firmware measurements to verify platform integrity.

Why it matters: Organizations procuring TPMs can now validate vendor claims of quantum resistance to avoid future cryptographic failures.
