Now in beta: New Detection as Code capabilities

Elastic Security has released Detection as Code (DaC) capabilities in beta, enabling security teams to apply software development practices to detection rule management through the detection-rules repository. The update includes bulk import/export of custom rules, configurable unit tests and validation, version control features, and flexible CI/CD integration to streamline rule lifecycle management from development through production deployment. These tools allow organizations to automate rule testing, peer review, and synchronization between version control systems and Kibana environments without requiring additional custom code.

Why it matters: Security teams using Elastic can now implement mature detection engineering workflows with automated testing and validation, reducing the risk of malformed rules reaching production and improving collaboration across rule development and deployment processes.
