Trezor Says ShipMonk Breach Exposed 67,000 U.S. Customers' Data It Said Was Deleted
Trezor disclosed that a breach at its shipping provider ShipMonk exposed personal information for 67,000 U.S. customers whose data Trezor believed had been deleted. The exposed records, spanning November 2019 to August 2021, contained names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, and order numbers but did not compromise the security of Trezor's hardware wallets.
Why it matters: Trezor customers in the U.S. should monitor for phishing and social engineering targeting their contact information and shipping history, and verify that any hardware wallet credentials or recovery information remain secure.
