Virtual machines, virtually everywhere - and with real security gaps

Cloud virtual machines (VMs) provide significant operational benefits in speed, scale, and flexibility, but often lack adequate security controls and are frequently left unmanaged. Organizations deploying VMs at scale face exposure to security gaps that can undermine their infrastructure resilience.

Why it matters: Cloud infrastructure teams need to audit VM deployments for misconfigurations and access controls, as unprotected VMs create a broad attack surface for lateral movement and data exfiltration.
