Zero trust is the future. But enterprises still need their VPNs.

Zero trust network architectures are increasingly recognized as a security best practice, yet enterprises continue to rely on virtual private networks (VPNs) for operational stability and flexibility. Organizations pursuing zero trust adoption need not immediately abandon VPN infrastructure, as the two approaches can coexist during transition periods.

Why it matters: Security leaders evaluating zero trust implementations should understand that legacy VPN systems remain relevant for hybrid environments, avoiding costly rip-and-replace decisions that could disrupt business continuity.
