Digital Watchdog VMAX DVR and NVR Product Lineups

Digital Watchdog VMAX DVR and NVR product lines contain six critical vulnerabilities spanning authentication bypass, hard-coded credentials, missing authorization, and weak session token generation across all versions. Successful exploitation grants full administrative control, enabling attackers to access surveillance data, modify configurations, and pivot through networks. Firmware updates are available from Digital Watchdog's downloads page.

Why it matters: Organizations operating VMAX DVRs and NVRs in commercial facilities, government, healthcare, and transportation must patch immediately, as these devices provide surveillance infrastructure and network access; local network access is required but the critical CVSS scores and widespread deployment make this a priority remediation.
