U.S. Seizes NightmareStresser Domains Linked to Hundreds of Thousands of DDoS Attacks

The U.S. Department of Justice announced the seizure of domains associated with NightmareStresser, a distributed denial of service (DDoS)-for-hire service. The seized domains nightmare-stresser.com and nightmarestresser.org now display a government seizure notice to visitors.

Why it matters: Organizations targeted by DDoS attacks can benefit from reduced attack surface if the service is taken offline, and security teams should monitor for migration of the threat actor to alternative infrastructure.
