From Invitation to Infection: How SILENTCONNECT Delivers ScreenConnect

SILENTCONNECT is a multi-stage loader that uses VBScript, PowerShell, and process environment block (PEB) masquerading techniques to covertly install ScreenConnect remote monitoring and management (RMM) software. The malware operates in multiple stages to evade detection and establish unauthorized remote access on compromised systems.

Why it matters: Organizations and incident responders need to monitor for SILENTCONNECT delivery chains and ScreenConnect installations outside approved deployments, as this loader enables attackers to gain persistent remote code execution and control over victim systems.
