Red Lion Controls N-Tron 700 Series

Red Lion Controls N-Tron 700 Series switches contain seven critical vulnerabilities affecting firmware version 3.11.0 and earlier, bootloader 2.0.6.1 and earlier. Flaws include hard-coded default credentials that persist, plaintext password storage, unauthenticated Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) access for administrative functions, and the ability to trigger continuous reboots via a web URL. Red Lion recommends upgrading to firmware 3.11.1 or later and disabling SNMP and web interface access as mitigations.

Why it matters: Organizations deploying N-Tron 700 Series switches in critical manufacturing, communications, and energy sectors face remote administrative compromise and denial of service unless they patch immediately, as multiple attack vectors require no authentication.
